Good to know before you delete
- Bookmarks and table-of-contents links that pointed at removed pages have nowhere to go, so bookmarks are not carried over.
- Page numbers printed on the page are part of the page image and won't renumber themselves.
- Signed documents: removing any page invalidates a digital signature, because the signature covers the original bytes.
Keeping only a handful of pages? Extracting is the same result with fewer taps.
Questions about deleting PDF pages
How do I delete pages from a PDF without Acrobat?
Open the PDF here, tap the pages to delete (they turn red with a cross) and press Split PDF. You get a copy without those pages. No Acrobat or install needed.
Can I delete every blank page from a scan?
Tap each blank page in the preview. Scanned blanks are rarely perfectly white, so SplitPDF doesn't guess; you see and choose every page yourself.
Does removing pages make the file smaller?
Usually, yes. pdf-lib only copies the resources the remaining pages use, so images or fonts used only on deleted pages are left out.
Can I undo it?
Your original file is never modified, so the full version is still on your device. Just open it again.
